Methodology

Content strategy projects are no different from other large projects that involve process change. They are stressful, uncomfortable, and often difficult to move forward.

To implement your project and improve your chances of success, we recommend following these steps:

  1. Identify and interview stakeholders.
  2. Establish implementation goals and metrics.
  3. Define roles and responsibilities.
  4. Establish timeline and milestones.
  5. Build the content creation system.
  6. Convert legacy content.
  7. Deliver content.
  8. Capture project knowledge.
  9. Ensure long-term success.

The sections that follow describe each of these steps.

One Response to Methodology

I am a student with the University of Maryland University college. Over the next few weeks, I will be a part of a group projet on Methodology of Content Strategy (this is for a Contemporary Trends in Technical Writing class). Other group member have other sections of Content Strategy to cover.

I was wondering if you could lead me to a few reliable resources on Methodology of Content Strategy. This would really help my group out a lot.

    Thanks.
